Welcome to the Arcadia 40 Days for Life blog. The purpose of this blog is to create a clearinghouse and hub for those in our community who believe in the power of prayer, and who want to peacefully and humbly gather to publicly pray to end the scourge of abortion in our community - Arcadia, California. The 40-day event, "Arcadia 40 Days for Life 2013" is a time of humble prayer to end abortion at 51 N. Fifth Avenue, Arcadia, CA 91006 and throughout the world. 51 N. Fifth Avenue, Arcadia, CA 91006 is one block west of the 210 Freeway at the Huntington Drive exit. Two abortionists have offices at that location, one on the second floor and one on the third floor. A small group has been praying each weekday from 9:45 am to 10:45 am and Thursdays at 7:30 pm at that location for Over a year. Will you honor their faithfulness and determination by praying one or more times during these 40 days?
We will be praying for God's forgiveness and mercy, for the conversion of the abortionists and their helpers, for those tempted to have abortions, for those who have already had abortions, for our Legislators, police, judges, and for each other. We will be seeking to lovingly embrace those whose eyes have not yet been opened, and to support and grieve with those who have been involved with an abortion they now regret.
In the left column is a link to the National 40 Days for Life blog, with some very encouraging stories of changed lives, saved lives, and the closure of abortion centers during or immediately after 40 Days for Life prayer campaigns. Also on the left column are various ways to link to this blog.
There are hundreds of thousands of couples who would like to adopt a baby. We sometimes wonder "what can I do?" Now you know - say some prayers, have some fun, and stand up for life (maybe even saving some lives) all at the same time - you can do it! Joint us for one or more of the 40 days, whether for a few minutes or any part of the day from 6 am to midnight, or with a larger group at 9:45 am weekdays or 7:30 pm on Thursday evening.
This is your chance to do your part to save lives. There is a lot going on this Fall, so please schedule your day to join us now before your personal calendar fills up. God will surely bless your efforts to participate in saving innocent lives, protecting women from making permanent mistakes, and supporting and encouraging one another in this effort. Can you spare one hour over 40 days? Then come join us in prayer.Please share this information in as many creative ways as you can. Every prayer helps.
To "adopt" an hour or a block of hours to pray (or a block of days), please contact us. We will add your group or organization to the left column and create a contact link for your prayer group to keep in touch with you. If you adopt an entire day, we will also give you control over the blog post for the day that you adopt, so you can share news before, during, and after your adopted day.
